Remote Listing Service not working with 7.62a

Hello,

I'm facing some issue with the Remote Listing Service and Version 7.62a. Remote List with will be created on target side but doesn't get copied to the Syncovery Server. Version 7.61.a or 7.59b are working fine (both with Remote Panel 7.51a).

Can someone confirm this problem ?

Same issue with the 7.63 Version

Remote List file will be created (Syncovery.listingrequest.$$$.1499275116813.$$$ - only 2Kb) but does not go further.

Just a small Feedback: (roll-back) Version 7.62 is doing fine. Must be something with the 7.62a and above.

Wrong forum, hence the delay.

The file you mentioned is the listing REQUEST file. This should be picked up by the Remote Service, which should delete it and create the actual listing file, which does not contain the word request in its filename.

I think I recently changed the way the request file is generated. Can you go to the Remote Service Control Panel, tab sheet Checksummer and Remote Lister, and make sure you are not using the checkmark "Check subfolders too"?

Hi,

I've tried without selected "Check subfolders too" options, but it's still not working.

Remote Service Control Panel (7.51a) creates .$$$ file, but the size of the file remains only 1 Kb, and no other files will be created. And the Syncovery profile stuck waiting for it.

When I quit the "Waiting for Remote Listings", Sync profile will go on and the .$$$ file will be removed from source Directory.

Without "Check subfolders too", it will work. Please try that again. Make sure that the Remote Service is restarted when you have removed the checkmark.

You must list the exact folders that the main Syncovery app syncs with. For example, if you sync with C:\Data\Archive, you must add that folder to the list of folders to watch, and not just C:\Data or even C:\

The paths listed must be the folders which are access by Syncovery jobs as "base folder" for a profile.

In the Remote Service Control Panel, you should be able to see "Watching C:\Data\Archive\Syncovery.*request*$$$*".

If problems remain, please send screenshots where I can see your configuration as well as the $$$ files and the folder path where the $$$ are.

The latest Syncovery and Remote Service will work in "Check subfolders too" mode again, but it should only be used if you really have too many folders to enter separately in the list.
