Real-time + Exact Mirror Not Working

Postby jamessawle on Sat Feb 09, 2013 8:38 pm

I must be missing a setting, but I have been testing the sync software and I cannot get it to transfer files that have been changed?

I would like to use the software to create a backup of photos, but when i say edit a test photo, and I make a small change to the file (*.dng) this change does not appear in the directory on the right hand side, the files are the same size, but being DNG files the actual size of the files do not change, but the date and time stamp do as per the edit, but the sync software seems to be just looking at the file size and not the time difference,

Can anyone please point me in the right direction as to what I need to check?

The program looks at the "Last Modification" date first. So that is not the problem.

When you choose real-time in the profile, you also have to start the scheduler. Then on the scheduler tab sheet, you can see if it notices and responds to any changes in your files. If not, the storage may not be sending real-time events. In that case, you need to choose a regular synchronization instead, such as every X minutes.
