Samba paths

Postby jeff4 on Wed Oct 24, 2018 2:42 am

Hi,

I'm moving my backup server from a Windows VM to a small Linux machine. However, I'm stuck! A lot of my data is on a NAS that's shared via Samba and I can't find out how to get Syncovery to use a Samba share as the left (or right) path. I don't want to have to mount the Samba shares permanently to the machine that's running the backup, that would be messy (there are 10 of them).

Help! How do I tell Syncovery on Linux to read from a Samba share, with user/password authentication?

The latest Linux version includes an SMB button next to each path where you can specify Samba paths with credentials.
