HDD data fragmentation on destination side

Postby Shaipetit on Tue May 15, 2018 2:58 am

I've noticed that after running left to right exact mirror synchronization, most of newly copied data on destination side HDD is fragmented, therefore requires defragmentation in order to defragment newly copied files.

It's likely that it happens, because Syncovery by default copies 3 files simultaneously at the same time as displayed in Synchronization Progress window.

Is it possible to make Syncovery copy data contiguously in order to prevent fragmentation?

You need to change the files being copied in parallel to 1.

What option do I need to change from 3 to 1?

Is it in global Program Settings or in Profile settings?

Thank you.

Hello,
in the profile, in the advanced settings category "Files", you will see the option:
