The maximum number of threads you can specify on the Mac version is 50. If you enter that it will stick.

Larger numbers can cause problems on Mac, so it was never allowed to go higher than 50.

On my windows pc I set 256 but only 223 is saved so I keep it.
But on my mac, I remember 256 was accepted fully , can you share an old version like 7.30 or 7.40 to confirm it ?
Thank you for your reactivity

223 is the max you can specify in the profile on Windows.

Larger numbers can be specified on the Program Settings dialog, tab sheet Performance (only on Windows).

The limit of 50 on Mac was added for a good reason, please do not try to bypass it. This is a really big number of threads already and it will be sufficient.

Thank you, now I realized that in fact there is no point to go above 50 on HD.
