syncovery, scheduler, to run NOT as service, questions

Postby spagnola on Thu May 11, 2017 8:10 am

Scheduler - i'm confused, between background, foreground, and service.
first, my system - I have main system, and a second macihne (my emergency testing machine).
I have syncovery installed as a PORTABL installation, that way I can copy c:\PortApps\Syncovery from one machine to the other, without having to re-install.
I WANT to run a scheduled profile on MACHINE A; but not on machine B. BUT, with the portable, I DID start a schedule on MACHINE A and when i copied the SYNCOVERY folder, to MAHCINE B, i believe it started the scheduler there somehow.

IS theer a way to select one of the schedulers (foreground, or background ) to run exclusively on one mahcine?

if not, I can use windows task manager and set up a batch file to run one or more profiles, in unattended mode, but i'd like to use syncovery itself to do this, since it's built in.

any feedback to clarify this is appreciated.

NOTE - I do NOT mind experimenting with various tech options, etc, to make this work, so any feedback/suggestions are appreciated

thanks
spagnola
