speed issues and simultanous connections on one Profile

Postby Zappermaster on Tue Apr 27, 2010 8:51 am

Hi! When synchronizing with your software via SFTP/AES256 i just get half the speed i get when uploading/downloading with other sftp clients. Are there any possibilities to use more of my bandwith like an option to use simultanous uploads/downloads? My bandwith is like 10mbit/s up/down but i can only use half of that with SFFS and get speeds like 552,1 kB/sec. Also i have noticed that the speed of 552,1 is a very contant number which i get every time i sync. When i do a measurement with external software it seems that SFFS is really working with exactly this speed.
thanks
Nick

Hello,

you can transfer several files in parallel. The number of files to copy simultaneously is specified on the Files tab sheet.

In this case, it seems that the speed is limited by the SSH protocol and encryption, as implemented in the library that we use. We are looking into licensing additional SSH libraries as alternatives in order to get more speed.
