License when running Multiple Virtual Machines

Postby dugbot on Sat Mar 09, 2013 10:54 pm

Hello, I'm evaluating Syncovery but am unsure on the licensing rules when running several Virtual Machines on a single PC. I am the only user and have 1 PC and 1 Laptop that I run up to 10 Virtual Windows Machines (VMWare) for various projects, (but not all at the same time). I'm looking for a solution to backup the files within those VMs to a second hard drive connected to the host.

Is this considered 2 PCs or 12 PCs from a licensing perspective? Would one "Syncovery Pro Single User for Windows" license be sufficient?

Thanks,
Doug

You would need two licenses or a Family Pack (if you are not making money with the projects).

Officially, each license is good for up to three VMs simultaneously, but the usage is not monitored or limited in any way, technically.
