Is there any way to speed up the rate at which Syncovery/SuperFlex deletes files at the target?
We are using SF to sync a local environment with a remote DR site. The problem we are running into is that most of the duration of the back up is for deleting files at the target.
The files being synchronized are the output of our application. This application creates a number of small files (1 MB or less) into a number of folders. Each folder can contain either 10 GB or 10,000 files. Once that threshold is reached the app will (through a multi-step process) "convert" that folder to a ZIP file. During a busy time like we are in now several hundred thousand files per day will need to be deleted from the remote end during each sync as the many small files are now inside a larger ZIP file.
It is taking almost a full day just to delete the files. Copying the new files only takes an hour or so.
I'm hoping that there's a check box or setting somewhere that will help me speed this up. I can do the same deletions manually through Explorer in 20 or 30 minutes - even over the WAN.
