command line integration with cron?

Postby pritchard on Mon Dec 13, 2010 7:35 am

Hi,

I am using the latest Linux release (build 140) on Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit. I am looking for a way to ensure my backups run automatically. On windows I use the scheduler, but the scheduler does not automatically start on linux. Is there a command line API I can use to start the scheduler or run a job? If so I could call that from crontab. Any other workarounds for ensuring backup jobs run automatically?

Yes, you can run the scheduler with the following command line:

SuperFlexibleSynchronizer /AUTOSTART

You can also use /RUNX="Profile Name" /U to run a job. More details and parameters are shown here:

Hello,
Could you tell me where these command lines goes. Is it on terminal or on the file ini?
We are using schedule with 1 min so we need this to start to run on startup.
is there any away to set it to run on background with an icon on the tray. that would be a nice addition.

Hello,

the command line can be invoked from a Terminal or script.

Currently there is no tray icon support in the Linux version but I will continue to improve it.

Will there be real time sync for linux? because that is really what we need. we would even pay for license. as I tested the demo of the windows version and works well.
