Password Prompt

Postby chsinclair on Tue Nov 26, 2013 9:57 am

Each time I start Syncovery 6.35 on my iMac (running Mountain Lion) I get a Finder prompt saying "Syncovery wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this." I have to enter my admin password to start the program each time. This only happens when I "run as root," which is all the time. Is there a way to disable the password prompt each time I start the application?

No, unfortunately this is a safety feature in Mac OS which can't be avoided. I hope to find a better "root" solution in a future version.

Hello,
the new version 7.55 can now finally be installed as a service on Mac and run without users being logged on. The service can run as root. Just switch from Background Scheduler to Service Scheduler on the Scheduler tab sheet in Syncovery.
