Hello,

apparently you don't have write access to the database folder. You can specify a different database folder on the Program Settings dialog which you can get to by pressing F8.

Please note that version 5 is currently a pre-release version. You can also try our latest fully tested version 4.91.

i created a new folder C:\Program Files\SuperFlexible_database' and i added the user group 'everyone' to this folder with full controll rights. then i stopped and started the service. but i get the same error.

after this error he is asking me always 'create new, empty database?' but whatever i aswer, i get the same error message again.

i could install the older version, but maybe my case is interesting to improve your product, so i will keep my current version, and maybe you have another fix, sollution, or something...

kind regards

Hello,

please check again. Maybe you did not specify the new folder correctly on the Program Settings dialog. If the database folder has full access, it will work.

Nowadays writeable folders are not made in C:\Program Files, but usually elsewhere.

In the next V5 update, the program will automatically choose a database folder in C:\Users or C:\Documents and Settings in these cases. This should already work in version 4.91, so if you install that and try it, it should work. And then if you install V5 again that should work too because it takes the folder that version 4.91 chose.
