error 10060

Postby knarfoo on Thu Feb 08, 2018 6:30 am

Hello,

I've setup a local filezilla sftp server.
Filezilla client connect fine.
Syncovery 7.96 (64bit) does not connect fine.
The error is Cannot access sftp://127.0.0.1
errorcode 10060

Any ideas please?
tnx

The error means that the server does not reply.

Are you sure it is SFTP? Did you specify port 22?

Does the Filezilla client use port 22?

FileZilla server doesn't have capabilities of creating SFTP server, only regular FTP or FTPS (explicit and implicit) servers.

FTP and FTPS servers are totally different from SFTP server.

FileZilla server only supports FTP and FTPS (explicit and implicit).

FileZilla client and Syncovery supports FTP, FTPS (explicit and implicit) and SFTP.

With FileZilla server you can only be running FTP and/or FTPS (explicit and implicit), therefore make corresponding choices in Syncovery client.

Hello,

great info. So in Syncovery, you would usually choose the FTP protocol and on the Security tab sheet, choose Explicit TLS.
