Amazon Glacier multipart upload

Postby cjpereyra on Mon Sep 18, 2017 7:26 am

Hi, one question: is possible use the multipart upload characteristic (similar to FastGlacier) the Amazon Glacier with for example in chunks of 128MB?. My situation is that I want to buy this software to upload to Amazon Glacier a lot of files.

Thanks!!!!

Hello,
yes, large files are chunked automatically.

In addition, you can specify a number of files to upload in parallel on the Files tab sheet in the profile. The default is three.

The chunk sizes and thread counts can be specified on the Cloud tab sheet of the Program Settings dialog.

Hi, the option "Maximum Part Size for Upload to Amazon S3" is valid to Glacier too?. "Maximum Upload Threads per file...." is the same as "Number of Files to Copy en Parallel" in Files Profile?

Thanks!!!

Hello,

the glacier parts are determined internally and not configurable. I am sure the performance will be great.

The number of files to copy in parallel is something different as the number of threads per file.
